Eras of Digital Entrepreneurship

Abstract While recent research continues to emphasize the importance of digital entrepreneurship, historical terminology this field is often overlooked. Digital entrepreneurship tends be considered a new phenomenon despite emerging in early 1990s. Building on scoping literature review, study analyzes 1354 publications that use nine different terms interchangeably describe entrepreneurship. Based number per year, three eras development are outlined. technologies identified as external enablers, and certain practical events influencing factors. The results show has not adequately recognized contributions previous understanding quite similar with regard used over time.
